Our 2026 hand-dyed yarn Advent calendar is inspired by the legends that surround some of South Dakota’s most well-known historical landmarks. Dyed in South Dakota by three local dyers (Tashi, Mythological Yarn, and Rachel's Hands), with goodies hand-made in South Dakota, this box is sure to keep the mystical surprises of the prairie coming throughout the entire advent season!
Each skein is a surprise, revealed one day at a time for the full holiday surprise experience. The palette consists of earthy colors and bright pops of jewel tones which work together to evoke the mystical wonder of the prairie.
Advent Calendar Options
Option 1: Full Advent
This option is designed for the ultimate mystical experience. With a mini skein to open each day leading up to Christmas, the wonder will only build to the final reveal of the full skein awaiting unboxing on Christmas day. There will be small gifts sprinkled throughout the month that help capture the wonder of the Prairie.

Option 3: Christmas Day Skein
For those seeking a little Christmas magic, this is the option for you. It will only include the full skein from day 25 of the full Advent calendar. This also makes a great add-on if you have a project in mind and need a bit more yarn!
